Megan Walsh |
Growing up in the country, creating fairy villages in the woods as a child, Megan Walsh has always been inspired by nature. After living in Portland. Oregon since graduating from Alfred University with a B.F.A. in 1999, she is back living outside Addison, NY. Her sun prints are created by using a light sensitive solution and botanical materials to produce a photogram of the object.
“The alchemy of turning raw natural findings - be they ferns, flowers or acorn caps and turning them into craft is pure joy. I create because it is good for the soul. My goal is to bring the outside in and highlight the juxtaposition between the simplicity and complexity of nature.” |
Jaimie Lee |
Jaimie Lee grew up in North Carolina, where her love for music began. She always enjoyed singing and had an urge to write songs. Learning to play the guitar was the perfect avenue for this creative venture. Through high school and college, she played solo gigs at coffee shops, special events, and bars/restaurants. She has a knack for putting her unique twist on cover songs and singing with a passion that will convince you those songs were her own. Her original songs are clever, thought provoking, and sometimes humorous with a hint of sass. Expanding on her creative nature, Jaime collects lake glass found on the shores of Seneca Lake and carefully selects pieces to make into jewelry. The glass has been made smooth by the waves and currents of the lake. No additional tumbling or alterations are made to the pieces. Each set is one of a kind.
